A BIG thank you for the help last Saturday identifying and locating my “Hollywood and Vines” material. I got my material in the mail today..couldn’t have happened without you guys! That is one of the great things about shopping at a “home town”, family owned and operated business…if you have questions, you always take the time to help (this doesn’t often happen in the chains or even some of the larger shops.) Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Quilting Company!
We are your one stop destination quilting shop with over 3,500 bolts of 100% cotton quilting fabrics including flannels and batiks, from most of the major fabric companies. We have an extensive “book & pattern nook” with over 400 titles of books and patterns for you to peruse. If you’re looking for kits, you have come to the right place! We also stock several notions that every quilter needs as well as notions that simply make the hobby of quilting easy and fun. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, we can order it for you. We provide superior longarm quilting machine services: custom, heirloom, and edge to edge quilting, plus basting and binding services. We also make custom quilts for those who wish to order a quilt completely finished.

Dear Quilters,
Happy Spring and pre-summer to you. I’m writing this March 22 and it’s 28 degrees and snowing. We’re all anxiously awaiting the next season.
If you haven’t heard by now, in June we will become the first and only certified Judy Niemeyer shop in New York State. For years I have drooled over her quilts and patterns. If you don’t know anything about her designs and patterns, go to www.quiltworx.com and you will see them all. She is a foundation paper piecing expert. Her method, organization and process makes all the difference in the world. We are presently offering Summer Solstice as a class- as a matter of fact, we had to schedule 5 sessions of this class to meet the demand. Two new Judy Niemeyer classes are scheduled in this newsletter - so check them out. Mt. Pleasant will officially become certified after I travel to Montana at the end of May. At that point you will see our shop advertised on her website. I am thrilled!
The Latest and Greatest One Day School House is back again - Saturday, June 15th. You can read all the details on the Special Events page. It’s back by popular demand. If you attended last year, you know all about it, if not - you won’t want to miss out on this event. We are only accepting 145 participants. Give us a call at 243-0767 to sign up. As I said in the Special Events write-up, I can’t tell you what the demo’s and classes will be as I need to go to Spring Quilt Market in Portland, Oregon in May to see what to bring back to you.
Our class section isn’t as long in this newsletter, as we have so many BOM classes that started in January and are still going on, but I hope I’ve added other ones that will satisfy that great desire of quilting.
Many of you have asked… yes…we will cut fats, quarter yards, third yards, half yards or yards of all the new fabrics when they arrive for you. Sign up and let us know your wishes.
