Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Quilting Company!
We are your one stop destination quilting shop with over 3,500 bolts of 100% cotton quilting fabrics including flannels and batiks, from most of the major fabric companies. We have an extensive “book & pattern nook” with over 400 titles of books and patterns for you to peruse. If you’re looking for kits, you have come to the right place! We also stock several notions that every quilter needs as well as notions that simply make the hobby of quilting easy and fun. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, we can order it for you. We provide superior longarm quilting machine services: custom, heirloom, and edge to edge quilting, plus basting and binding services. We also make custom quilts for those who wish to order a quilt completely finished.

Dear Quilters,
Happy New Year to you! May you be blessed with good health and happiness! (And of course, may you be blessed with the desire to quilt!)
Our class schedule is packed full! Twenty-eight to be exact. Most of them have a day and night time slot to accommodate workers and non-workers. Out classes tend to fill up very quickly, so don’t delay in giving us a call, or sign up on line.
We have kept our annual monthly sales for January – April that you all tell me you love so much. (Check them out on the Monthly Sale page). So many of you remark about the Pajama Sale – that you can be out the door in a flash! We like the Pajama Sale too, because it means we can work in our jammies!
Snippets:
• Congratulations are in order for Penny Marble of the dynamic teaching duo of Nancy Hyde and Penny Marble. Penny’s Kaleidoscope quilt has been accepted to be in Ricky Tim’s new book that will come out this fall! I told her we can say “we knew her when….” Penny say’s she’ll always teach at Mt. Pleasant!
• We had 9 cancer quilts to donate to charity in 09. We received 642 blocks! A genuine thank you!
• Again, a heartfelt thank you for Dec. ’09. We had 10 grocery bags of personal care products to give to Chances & Changes and a great quantity of children’s books to give to Catholic Charities.
• Quilt Away – March 5th, 6th, and 7th. This weekend is full as you signed up a year ago. Complete balance must be paid by February 1st.
• Quilt Away – February 19th, 20th, & 21st. Some spots still available. Complete balance must be paid by January 15th.
• Maxim’s Sharpening Services will be here Saturday, March 20th. Can drop off ahead of time if you choose.
• We listened to you. We have 70 bolts of Kaffe Fassett!
• No other Scrap Therapy program that exists anywhere, will have the unique feature created by our own “Scrap Therapist”, Martha Lorshbaugh. Read her update further on in the newsletter.
• Reminder –EVERYTIME you shop here, it is always 10% off your total purchase of regular priced items because you can use your frequent shopper buyer card or the guild discount.

• We are constantly updating our mailing list, both email and postal delivery. If we have typos, or wrong addresses, or duplicates, please let us know. If you can switch to email, please let us know also. Email does save on the postage expense for the shop.
Please know I will gladly listen to any suggestions or comments you may have about the shop. They can relate to classes, policies, customer service, or anything else you may have on your mind. After all, if it weren’t for you, Mt. Pleasant Quilting would not be here.
