Just a quick note from my son and I to tell you how amazing you and the girls made his quilt look. He has shown it to everyone and there isn’t even any binding on it yet.
Anyway, thank you again for your always truly amazing work on quilting my quilts and making them look 100 times better than they actually are! You girls are the greatest!

Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Quilting Company!
We are your one stop destination quilt shop with over 3,500 bolts of 100% cotton quilting fabrics including flannels and batiks, from most of the major fabric companies. We have an extensive “book & pattern nook” with over 400 titles of books and patterns for you to peruse. If you’re looking for kits, you have come to the right place! We also stock several notions that every quilter needs as well as notions that simply make the hobby of quilting easy and fun. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, we can order it for you. We provide superior longarm quilting machine services: custom, heirloom, and edge to edge quilting, plus basting and binding services. We also make custom quilts for those who wish to order a quilt completely finished.

Fall 2008
Dear Quilters,
I can’t believe summer is over, school is back in session, and we are thinking of Fall and the holidays ahead in this last quarter of the year. May they be pleasant months for you!
I like to do Fall and holiday related classes in this newsletter quarter. (Of course, there are other things too- like our new program entitled Scrap Therapy.) There are a lot of class offerings that will be appropriate gifts for everyone on your list. I feel quilters like to give their personally made items to others. I know I do. Also, if you don’t like the crowded malls, just come here and sew your gifts! Hopefully, we’ve given you some ideas to think about. Also an idea for you: tell someone in your life you would like a gift certificate from Mt. Pleasant in your stocking this year.
Some snippets:
October 25th will be the cut off date for guaranteed longarm machine quilting for Christmas.
Over the years, I have taught the ever popular Stack-n-Whack class to over 400 quilters. There will be a reunion at next summer’s Covered In Quilts 2009 Show, August 7th and 8th. If you haven’t finished it yet, get busy. Wouldn’t it be great to have all those quilts in one place at one time?
From the personal, medical aspect of our shop, Nancy Meyer has had a total knee replacement and is coming along superbly! She is totally committed to doing her exercises. Sandi Orologio has had a partial mastectomy due to breast cancer. Sandi says she’s a lucky person as her breast cancer was detected during her annual mammogram. She says don’t put it off! -be faithful every year for your screening. Sandi has planned two new and exciting classes for the fall. She will however, be teaching a hand applique class for the January – April 2009 newsletter. I will be having surgery in October for hyperparathyroidism. Jean Schild will be having hip replacement surgery in November. Don’t you think that’s enough surgeries for this shop?
Those of you who have signed up for the Quilt Away Weekend, Nov. 7th, 8th, and 9th, (which is full) must have the total amount paid by October 11th. After that date, we will need to move on to the waiting list.
Shoptoberfest Shop Hop – Oct. 2nd –4th. See article listing shops, times and prizes.
It doesn’t seem possible that we will be celebrating our 6th year in business. Be sure to mark our Anniversary Celebration Sale on your calendar. I will have the traditional beads and of course the tent will be here. I remember the 1st year the tent went up, my grandboys came and thought we were going to have a circus! Well-it‘s a circus all right, but not the kind they thought! Check out the special prizes too! We hope we’ve served you well and that you will continue to have a “pleasant” experience at Mt. Pleasant.
Have a wonderful autumn adventure and a blessed holiday season! As I always write in my newsletter because it’s so true—you are all fun, friendly and fantastic women! (And men-you are too!) I sincerely thank you all for attending classes and shopping at Mt. Pleasant Quilting.
Sewingly,
Barb
