About Our Classes
What to expect when you attend our classes:
Our teachers are knowledgeable and patient.
* We strive for a class atmosphere as comfortable and unstressed as possible.
If the project is not finished in class, you are always welcome to call or come back if you have a problem in finishing it up.
You may bring your lunch or order out.
We have a limited number of sewing machines available if you can not bring one. Please call ahead to reserve one.
We offer valet service if you need help to bring in your sewing machine and supplies. Just drive up to the door. We’ll unload you and park your car!
We like you to come a little early so you can get set up and ready to go when the class time starts.
We offer most of our classes in two different time slots to accommodate the working and non-working quilter.
Class fee must be paid to reserve a spot and to receive the supply list.
*Last, but not least, we’ll have a lot of fun and laughter while you’re here!

It’s a new format which consists of an 80 page book for $29.95,to be used for the entire year, which includes 4 seasonal medium sized wallhangings, 4 bonus projects, 1 stitchery sampler and 24 delicious dessert and beverage recipes each month. There will be a new five piece fabric collection each quarter that will make each seasonal wallhanging, and they are a beauty too! I have swatches of all the fabrics for the year if you would like to take a peak! Thimbleberries 2012 is unique in that the kits can be sold to anyone. (You don’t have to belong to the “club” to purchase the kits and patterns.) Also, you can choose to sign up for all four quarters or only the ones you want to. Fees for kits: First quarter $20.60 per month. Second quarter: $21.10 per month. Third quarter: $17.75 per month, Fourth quarter: $17.40 per month.

This class sure has been a favorite one! Barb has taught it to over 490 gals since we opened the shop. Once you take this class, you will never look at fabric the same way again. You need only one fabric to make the 12 different star blocks, plus a background and accent fabric. It’s exciting to see how each block evolves into a new design. You’ll be oohing and aahing! Just you wait and see!

We will be paper-piecing two 12” star blocks each month so by this time next year you will have a beautiful star quilt. This class is great for the paper-piecer at all skill levels-the stars look intricate but paper piecing makes it possible to sew these designs with absolute precision.

Create the illusion of stars floating over the surface of a quilt and casting shadows below.
The use of the fast flying geese technique with a Wing Clipper ruler trim down method makes the construction easy. A spectacular 38” x 40” wallhanging. If you’ve never used the Wing Clipper ruler to make flying geese-now’s the time!

Come join the paper-piecing block of the month group. This year we will be using Carol Doak’s book “50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars”. We will be paper-piecing two 12” star blocks each month so by this time next year you will have a beautiful star quilt. This class is great for the paper-piecer at all skill levels-the stars look intricate but paper piecing makes it possible to sew these designs with absolute precision.

There will be a new five piece fabric collection each quarter that will make each seasonal wallhanging, and they are a beauty too! It’s a new format which consists of an 80 page book for $29.95 which includes 4 seasonal medium sized wallhangings, 4 bonus projects, 1 stitchery sampler and 24 delicious dessert and beverage recipes each month. There will be a new five piece fabric collection each quarter that will make each seasonal wallhanging, and they are a beauty too! I have swatches of all the fabrics for the year if you would like to take a peak! Thimbleberries 2012 is unique in that the kits can be sold to anyone. (You don’t have to belong to the “club” to purchase the kits and patterns.) Also, you can choose to sign up for all four quarters or only the ones you want to. This class is great for the paper-piecer at all skill levels-the stars look intricate but paper piecing makes it possible to sew these designs with absolute precision.
