Mt Pleasant Quilting has teamed up with Heartland Quilt Shop in Lockport and Patchwork Gardens in East Amherst to give you a day of eating, shopping, and worry-free transportation.
Let our limo bus transport you roundtrip from Mt Pleasant Quilting to the other two great quilt shops listed about. The limo bus will leave Mt Pleasant at 9:30 am. You will enjoy lunch at one shop, snack at another, and return home to Mt Pleasant Quilting at 5:30 for a sit-down dinner.
A deposit of $35 at the time of sign-up will reserve your seat, with the remaining balance of $32 due by September 1. This is a First Come, First Served event with only 27 seats available. Call the shop at 585-243-0767 to reserve your seat.

Learn how to create incredible kaleidoscope quilts using the process developed by renowned quilt artist Ricky Tims. In the first class you will prepare your fabric strata(strip sets) and create the pattern for your quilt. Don’t worry, if you can use a ruler and draw a straight line you have all the artistic requirements necessary. The second class will take you through the actual creation of the quilt -a process that will leave you amazed and delighted with the results. Leave your inhibitions at the door, plan on NOT planning, and come create a one-of-a kind masterpiece!

Come join the paper-piecing block of the month group. This year we will be using Carol Doak’s book “50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars”. We will be paper-piecing two 12” star blocks each month so by this time next year you will have a beautiful star quilt. This class is great for the paper-piecer at all skill levels-the stars look intricate but paper piecing makes it possible to sew these designs with absolute precision.
Classes are 4th Friday of every month: 2/24, 3/23, 4/27, 5/25, 6/22, 7/27, 8/24, 9/28 10/26, 11/23, 12/28, 1/25/13

Sew Along
Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Fee: $5.00
If you would like to “Sew Along” with your friends, or friends to be, pick and choose your Sew Along date/s. Come and sew, talk, laugh, order out lunch if you choose – just have a day away from home. You will need to sign up though, as we are setting the limit at 12 per day so you can have some room to spread out.
Cost: $5.00
The time will be 10:00 – 4:00.

I fell in love with this quilt at Fall Quilt Market 2011. They were debuting it with the arrival of the fabric and patterns April 2012. This quilt combines fabric, wool. and embroidery. It depicts what Christmas is all about. Some of the embroidery words: trim the tree, angels among us, gift giving, Christmas cookies, the stocking were hung, the reason for the season, etc. There are 12 different embroidery/wool blocks, and 13 pieced blocks that are all the same. (As you see there are 3 scheduled meetings. We’ll discuss other dates at classtime.) Kits available.
